We are proud to belong to a school with a history spanning three hundred and fifty years from a time when the resident priest taught children in the parish church. Since those times the school has been housed in at least three other buildings, on at least three other sites and has grown and flourished, despite a devastating fire in 1992 which almost completely destroyed the school.
Our school has many fine traditions, not least its concern that our children will grow in self confidence and acquire that knowledge of self worth so necessary to achieve full potential in all aspects of schoolwork and life.
We seek to provide our children with an environment where they feel secure in the knowledge that they are part of a family where sharing and helping each other are important and where through our Christian tradition they may experience the Gospel message of God's loving care.
